Ingredients
- 1/2 cup couscous
- 1/2 package Trader Joe’s Seasoned Kale Chips
- 1/4 cup raisins
- 2 tbsp pine nuts
- 1/4 tsp garlic
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp olive oil
Preparation
Frontcountry
Thoroughly combine the first six ingredients together in a quart-sized Ziploc Freezer Bag. Store the olive oil separately in a reusable container or disposable water bottle.
Backcountry
Heat 1-1/2 cups of water to a boil. After the water has cooled slightly, pour 1 cup of the water into the Ziploc Freezer Bag and seal, leaving a small opening for hot air to escape. Once the water has been absorbed, taste for consistency, adding more water as needed. As a final step, add the olive oil and mix thoroughly to incorporate.
