Vegetable Fried Rice

Ingredients

  • 1 cup instant rice
  • 1/2 package Kikkoman Fried Rice powdered mix
  • 1/2 cup mixed dried vegetables
  • 1/4 cup dried mushrooms
  • 2 tbsp dehydrated onions
  • 2 tbsp egg powder
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Preparation

Frontcountry

Thoroughly combine the first six ingredients together in a quart-sized Ziploc Freezer Bag. Store the olive oil separately in a reusable container or disposable water bottle.

Backcountry

Heat 1-1/2 cups of water to a boil. After the water has cooled slightly, pour the water into the Ziploc Freezer Bag and seal, leaving a small opening for hot air to escape. Once the water has been absorbed, taste for consistency, adding more water as needed. As a final step, add the olive oil and mix thoroughly to incorporate.
